This was our last day in Africa. We woke up extremely early to drive to the Maasai Mara to go on our Safari. The Mara is where National Geographic often goes to film wild life. The trip up was long and rocky but it was exciting.
Beautiful African sunrise. Check out the moon hanging out at the top.
Keeley and I on the way to the Safari
We had to cross a river in order to reach our destination. The truck ahead was stuck in the mud. Luckily both of our vans got across.
A giraffe resting
Wildebeests. They are truly beasts.
The beautiful land of the Mara. Past the mountains is the Serengeti. The Mara connects with the Serengeti National park.
A lioness hanging out in the afternoon.
She walked up to the other van and used it as shade. The lions did not seem to care that we were there.
Absolutely beautiful.
Some cheetahs resting in the shade.
Trying to get in a picture with the cheetahs.
The elephants started to form a line in order to protect their babies. Elephants are known to charge safari vans.
Cara and I after lunch time.
We were told that we were sleeping in tents, yet there were showers. I did not know what to expect, but our rooms were extremely nice and comfy.
